SESSION DESCRIPTION

The sessions will be chaired by expert faculty who will analyze each module question, review current evidence and key points and summarize clinical pearls. Session attendees actively participate and verbalize their understanding of current evidence for the purpose of achieving a common consensus in answering these questions. The collective information gathered in these interactive sessions enhances individual knowledge and longer retention of current medical information.

ABIM/MOC LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the activity participants should be able to:

Assess personal gaps in clinical practice to care for patients with endocrine disorders and infectious disease
Implement at least one change in practice to address personal practical gaps.

ABIM TARGET GROUP:
This program is intended for Internists and Internal Medicine sub-specialists who need to recertify with the American Board of Internal Medicine for Maintenance of Certification in 2018.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
Physicians - The Southern California Permanente Medical Group is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
The Southern California Permanente Medical Group designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)^TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.

ABIM
ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 20 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
