Cyril Palma Nurse Educator Emirati Canadian Home Health Care Services Cyril considers himself as a “Nurse Neophyte,” Cyril Palma is just starting his career in Abu Dhabi. With more than 6 years of clinical and managerial experience in the Philippines, he finished his Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at University of San Agustin- Iloilo City in the year 2009. Employed in an ISO Accredited Hospital in the Philippines, he worked as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse handling Medical, Surgical and Pediatric cases respectively. He also functions as an Infection Control Nurse directly involved in educating, planning and managing infection prevention and control related concerns in their institution. He was also part of the Regional Disease Surveillance Unit in Western Visayas monitoring and responding to epidemiological and outbreak cases. In addition, as an assistant TB-DOTS Nurse, he supervised the aforementioned cases in the neighboring communities. He was active in trainings, advocacies, seminars and conventions in their city and across the Philippines.
Currently, he is an employee of Emirati Canadian Home Health Care Services for more than a year. He handles some of the in-service trainings and seminars of the facility. Aside from being a lecturer of CME-Accredited Seminars handling various topics, he is also one of the “volunteer” reviewers for the Special Philippine Licensure Examination for Nurses which caters to under-board Filipino Nurses working here in UAE. Red Cloud Capuyan Quality and Education Officer Emirati Canadian Home Healthcare Services Red is currently affiliated with Emirati Canadian Home Health Care Services as Quality and Education Officer since 2016. As a Quality Officer, he is responsible for ensuring that clinical processes are conducted in accordance with guidelines and regulations by the Health Authority, develops, performs, manages quality assurance activities and presides over audits. With his commitment to quality, experience and understanding of JCI Survey processes, together with his team achieved also the international accreditation from Accreditation Canada International (ACI) and Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). He finished his training courses for Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). As an Education Officer, he is responsible for identifying staff training and development needs, planning, organizing and overseeing appropriate trainings both for clinical and non-clinical staff. Red finished his bachelor’s degree in one of the prestigious University - Saint Louis University, College of Nursing in Baguio City, Philippines. He also completed 46 Educational Units for his Master in Nursing on the same University. Laude in Nursing and has been practicing in various fields of Nursing for more
than a decade. He spent most of his
clinical years as a nurse in the ICU and ER while overseeing training and
development programs. Also during this time, he has reached-out to a number of universities in our
locality to teach in classrooms and complete their related learning experience
hours. He also took part as a reviewer
in a number of centres for nurses and allied health professionals. Alongside his duties in the floor, the management entrusted to him several supervisory and training functions such as running IV therapy training and emergency preparedness sessions. He had worked with top endocrinologists and their patients as a diabetes educator and has shared his passion through teaching in schools, communities and varying patient groups. Yvette Legaspi Quality Consultant Abu Dhabi, UAE Yvette Marris Legaspi is a Registered Nurse and educator. A graduate of Makati Medical Center College. She also obtained her Master of Arts in Nursing – Major in Clinical Supervision at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, and from Brunel University, United Kingdom.
