2018 PLA NSW/ACT Conference

We are thrilled to announce the 2018 host destination for the NSW/ACT Conference is Tamworth. Together with our partners the Office of Sport and Tamworth Regional Council we will deliver a program from the 9th-11th May 2018.  Held at the West Tamworth League Club the 2018 Conference Lead_Collaborate_Succeed will incorporate two program streams; Activating Sport and Leisure and Activating Places and Spaces.

Delegates will have a chance to hear from a collection of presenters about current trends and issues across both Conference streams, with keynote speakers including Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Kate Jenkins, 2016 Australian Rally Championship Winner, Molly Taylor and Local Government Strategist Glenn Inglis. The Conference will also include technical tours to the Northern Inland Centre of Sporting Excellence and the Victoria Park precinct, workshops focusing on play and place measurement, along with the announcement of the winners of the 2018 NSW/ACT Awards of Excellence at the stunning Goonoo Goonoo Station.

A true Regional Hub, Tamworth  offers all the advantages of a major city within a friendly country community. The region is a hidden gem inviting visitors to discover the beauty, natural wonders and tempting flavours on offer.
