Come explore the ancient art of sterling silver fusing. You’ll create a pendant that evokes vintage patchwork with a hint of modern sparkle and shine. Gwen will walk you through the process of fusing sterling silver to create the base piece. Next up, those amazing silver balls, a prong setting and bail - all soldered into place. A quick and easy hand finishing technique will add sparkle and shine to this fun, funky and organic piece. Finally, add a leather cord with handcrafted sterling silver clasp and wear your pendant home. Bonus: make a pair of earrings with the leftovers. You WILL complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Must be at least 18 years old due to torch use

Materials you are required to bring: Magnifying eyewear if needed; battery operated light

No-Fear Riveting is here! Turn your creativity loose with the Riveting Essentials patented riveting process that makes riveting virtually foolproof. This introduction to riveting explores how to accurately measure and form traditional wire rivets, how to make and use ball-headed rivets and how to rivet a bezel cup in place – yes, you will learn to use bezels without solder! Along the way, students will learn easy-peasy texturing techniques, along with some basic metalsmithing skills. Finally, finish your piece with a handcrafted leather cord and clasp. You WILL complete this project in class.

We have all been there - heartbroken and sure we cannot go on...Fused sterling silver, soldered prongs, a hidden tube bail soldered in place, a sparkly CZ in a tube setting with a dash of added texture creates a piece that reminds you to never let your light go out. Instructor will walk you step-by-step through this project suitable for the confident beginner and beyond. You WILL complete this project in class.

Tired of pre-made bezels? Learn to make your own in this one day class. Tired of ordinary bezel settings? Kick them up a notch by learning to add a border and a sparkly tube set CZ. There is a border for every student. Whether it's the square wire border or the free-form border with some easy texturing or the more challenging 1/2-bead wire border, the instructor walks you step-by-step through the process to your finished piece in this class suitable for the confident beginner and beyond. Students will complete one pendant in class. You WILL complete this project in class.
