This is the place to get started in immersion enameling! We will begin learning about the enameling process and the tools needed for success. We will discuss how to choose metal for enameling and design ideas. An introduction to many techniques will happen throughout the day. We will begin with basic enameling, then on to enameling flat pieces, using decals, millefiori, wire, making enameled head pins, using liquid enamels and more! You will go home with a lot of enameled beads and pieces to use in your own projects! You WILL NOT complete this project in class. 

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: None

Materials you are required to bring: Safety glasses

Level: Intermediate Description of Workshop Levels
Technique: Annealing,Coloring Metal,Design,Enameling,Etching,Hot Connection,Mixed Materials,Texturing,Torchwork,Wire Work


The next steps in Painting with Fire Immersion enameling! This is a class full of intermediate to advanced techniques to keep you learning and growing in enameling. Learn new ways to add texture and design into your enameled pieces. Learn the differences between embossing and etching and ways you can enhance your metal work using torch fired enameling. We will pump up Sgraffito by adding color. We will use some basic metal working techniques to form and shape the metal and help us attach pieces together. Learn some interesting ways to add color and design into immersion enameling in unusual ways. You will have lots of pieces to take home and use in your own projects! You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Please take the Basic Immersion Enameling Class or have Painting with Fire immersion enameling experience.

Materials you are required to bring: Please bring safety glasses.

Technique: Assembly,Basics,Coloring Metal,Enameling,Hot Connection,Mixed Materials,Torchwork,Wire Work


In this workshop we will be making and assembling a necklace filled with enameled wire circles and a simple S'graffito charm of your choice. We will discuss design, color and assembly. Unusual design details will be introduced and the final piece will be assembled using your choice of color in enamels and ribbons. We will design and enamel the clasp using wire and cones. A variety of techniques will be used; basic bead enameling, enameling and fusing wire and what types can be used for different looks. Liquid enamels will be introduced, S'graffito techniques, creating a clasp using wire and more. Lots to learn and non-stop fun, this class will delight and teach simple techniques useable for many different types of projects! You WILL complete this project in class. 

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: None

Materials you are required to bring: Safety glasses, needle nose pliers, flat nose pliers for jewelry assembly, and any other jewelry tools desired.

Technique: 3D Design,Assembly,Cold Connections,Coloring Metal,Design,Enameling,Epoxie Clay,Finishing,Hot Connection,Mixed Materials,Torchwork


This workshop is packed with information and takes Painting with Fire immersion enameling to the next level! We will be designing, forming, and assembling a 3D flower and using it in either a necklace or bracelet piece. We will be making our own message of hope by learning ways we can actually write in enamel. We will use precut pieces as well as beads and even making our own flower form to be used in our final design. The project will be finished using ribbons or chain or use enameled jump rings you make yourself. The possibilities are endless and beautiful! 'Grow' your enameling skills as you 'Plant' a message of hope and 'Dig' into this fun and intriguing project! You WILL complete this project in class. 

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: A knowledge of basic torch fired enamel using the Painting with Fire immersion method.

Materials you are required to bring: Safety glasses, jewelry assembly tools - needle nose pliers, flat nose pliers
