IPWEA (NSW) Professional Development Workshop: Powers and Duties of a Local Government Engineer - Sydney 19 & 20 February 

The objective of this course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to operate as an effective practitioner within the local government sector.

Your presenter is Ken Halstead an experienced civil engineer town planner who was employed in local government for a period of 29 years in both rural and metropolitan councils.  He held senior engineering management positions including Municipal or Shire Engineer for 20 years.  Ken was employed as a part time lecturer at UTS for a period of 16 years while employed in local Government.

TIMES: Please register at the Workshop by 8.15am on Day 1. The program will commence promptly at 8.30am and finish at 5.00pm on Day 1. Day 2 begins at 8.30am and finish at 5.00pm. Morning and afternoon teas and lunch provided on both days.
  
CAR PARKING: Paid parking is available at the Capitol Carpark parking station in Campbell Street (near the corner of George Street); however the venue is within walking distance of Central railway station.

ACCOMMODATION: Overnight accommodation is not provided for Delegates. You will need to organize your own accommodation if required. Accommodation is available at the venue (Note: There are two Metro Hotels in Pitt Street - this is the Metro Hotel Sydney Central Marlow not the Metro Hotel on Pitt).
