Who should attend Fire-Rescue Canada?

All fire service senior level leaders can attend Fire-Rescue Canada.

What are the official dates of the meeting?
Fire-Rescue Canada kicks off with its Opening Ceremonies and Memorial Service the evening of
Sunday, September 16, 2018 and concludes with it Awards Gala the evening of Wednesday,
September 19, 2018.


Where is the meeting located?
All Fire-Rescue Canada educational sessions, events and registration will be held at the The Westin
Ottawa Hotel
.


What is the recommended arrival airport?
Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW)

Will I be able to access the program on my mobile device?

Yes, the Fire-Rescue Canada mobile app is available with access to the complete

What is the recommended attire?
Attire for educational/business sessions is business casual.  Opening Ceremonies and Memorial
Service is uniform.  Fun Night is casual.  Awards Gala is uniform, mess kits, business.


How do I register?
Attendees are encouraged to register online.

What is the registration fee?
Registration fees are based on CAFC membership.  Your membership must be current to receive
the membership rate.  When you book your hotel within the conference room block, you save $100
on your registration!  See details here.


What is included in my registration fee?
All educational sessions (Monday to Wednesday); the Opening Ceremonies & Memorial Service and
the Welcome Reception on Sunday; Fun  Night on Monday; the Tradeshow Reception on Tuesday;
the Awards Gala on Wednesday; Breakfasts, lunches and refreshment breaks (Monday to Wednesday);  and access to after hours Sponsored Hospitality rooms.  Note Receptions and Fun Night include substantial food and beverages. See details here.


Can I register a companion?
Companions may register for a number of tours during conference week that will be hosted by a
local Destination Management Company.
 Attendees may then purchase additional tickets for Fun Night and the Awards Gala for their companions via the online registration process or on-site. NEW this year is the Companion Meet & Greet Breakfast.  See details for daily tours and breakfast here.


Do I have to register for individual sessions/are sessions ticketed?
For most sessions, you do not need to pre-register.  However, seats in sessions are available on a
first-come, first-served basis.  Tickets for evening events such as Fun Night and the Awards Gala
will be provided in your registration package.


When/where can I register onsite?
You will be able to register (including name badge/material pick-up for those registered in advance,
as well as anyone who needs register on-site) at the Westin Ottawa Hotel beginning Sunday,
September 16, 2018.


Badges are required for access to all Fire-Rescue Canada activities.

Wednesday, September 19 7 am to 2 pm
