This half-day session will provide guidance for subgrantees on current topics affecting grant management and program participants. Participants will have time to network, collaborate and share best practices for serving young adults who have been involved with the justice system. Breakfast is not included.

Annie E. Casey Foundation and Bank of America Credentials to Careers Business Meeting

This is a combined business meeting for Annie E. Casey's Youth and Young Adult Affinity Group and Bank of America's Credentials to Careers, Stairways to Success. Breakfast is not included.

This half day session will provide guidance for subgrantees on current topics affecting grant management and program participants. Participants will have time to network, collaborate and share best practices for serving adults who are returning to their communities. Session details will be based on the timeline for implementation of the U.S. Department of Labor MIS tool.

Join Goodwills engaged in grant-funded IT credentialing training programs, industry experts and GII to cover topics that we all have in common. Subject matter experts will share effective strategies around assessing and recruiting qualified participants, building an inclusive program, providing resources for instructors, and support available through affinity groups.

Registration Fee: $50, covers the cost of breakfast and lunch. Please note that breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

Goodwill Digital Career AcceleratorSM
Speaker: Deborah Kobes, Director, Jobs for the Future
Facilitated by: Sonya Francis, Senior Director of Career Navigation, GII

Goodwill Digital Career Accelerator subgrantees will convene to share effective practices, discuss digital career pathways and gain exposure to new training models and tools. Subgrantees will attend break-out sessions to dive deeper into grant goals related to their levels of participation (Change Agents, Champions, and Enthusiasts).

GoodPaths pilot members and partners will convene to reflect on progress to date and continue expanding capacity to achieve grant goals. Key activities include sharing best practices and lessons learned; coaching in managing partnerships with key stakeholders, particularly those that will lead to scale of the program in each community; and technical assistance for meeting/maintaining programmatic and fiscal goals, data collection and reporting to demonstrate impact. Breakfast, lunch and networking breaks will be provided.

Get Your Act Together Before the CARF Survey Team Shows Up at Your Door!
Track: Human Resources/Accreditation/Organizational Strengthening

Just about the time you think you’ve got it all nailed down, the standards change again! Well, not to worry, we’re here to help. During this pre-conference, we will walk through the ASPIRE (Administrative) sections of the CARF standards that are most frequently applied during surveys at Goodwill organizations. We will focus on critical standards that impact the accreditation outcome, recent changes and most frequently cited recommendations. Whether you are due for accreditation during 2018 or you have recently completed a survey, this session will help you be prepared and to stay current with the process.

Reentry Pathways: People, Programs & Partners
Facilitated by: Jennifer Lynch, Adult Reentry Services Program Manager, GII

Regardless of the level of reentry programming at your Goodwill, join us to share best practices, develop skills to best serve returning citizens, and create a network to utilize when you return to your Goodwill.  Hear from expert reentry professionals from across the Goodwill network and participate in small-group activities geared towards problem solving to improve reentry services across the Goodwill network. This session will kick-off a series of four webinars, which will provide additional opportunities to connect and explore topics discussed during in the summit. Lunch and networking breaks will be provided.


*Operation: GoodJobs 3.0 
Facilitated by: Pamela Johnson, Veterans and Military Family Services Program Specialist, GII

In the third iteration of Operation: GoodJobs (OGJ), new and established OGJ programs will meet annually to share effective practices, improve the quality of services to our heroes and their families, and learn new tools that support holistic transitional support for veterans and military family members. Breakfast, lunch and networking breaks will be provided.

SCSEP: Aging Network Professionals Working and Learning Together
Facilitated by: Deborah Edmonds, Older Workers Services Program Manager, Nancy Mina, SCSEP Coach and Compliance Monitor, Suzie Paulson, SCSEP Coach and Compliance Monitor, and Gale Vest, SCSEP Coach and Compliance Monitor, GII

SCSEP staff will attend workshops to review changing demographics, cultures, policies, procedures, technology and effective practices in the field of aging. Learn from successful peers who have surmounted barriers to solve issues large and small, creating sustained improvement in Goodwill organizations. Learn to access needed resources to serve older workers. Begin building a more robust professional peer network with which you will share resources, ideas and helpful information in future years. Lunch and networking breaks will be provided.

Google IT Support Professional Certificate Program Business Meeting

Subgrantees of the IT Support Professional Certificate will join together to discuss the first several months of the program. Topics will include wraparound services, employer engagement, blended learning approaches, peer supports, and integrating Google volunteers into the program.


Careers in Technology Program Business Meeting 
Facilitated by: John Celestand, Careers in Technology Program Manager, GII

Careers in Technology subgrantees will come together to discuss the achievement of program outcomes. Topics will include employer engagement, budgeting and spending, curricula, embedding past participants into current programming, and building a network of champions.
