But the organization saw that it could do more: What about those that can’t get to a job center due to transportation issues or because they work when the centers are open? And what about those who may be embarrassed to ask for help?
The Goodwill realized that almost everyone has access to a smart phone or computer at other sites (home, library, work, family members, friends), so it set out to reach them without breaking the bank. It needed to start offering some type of virtual services, and the mobile site the Goodwill has created begins to address this problem. The Seattle Goodwill has implemented a coordinated, integrated and competency-based new hire orientation and onboarding process for employees at all levels of the organization. Session attendees will learn about the critical elements that are covered during this on-boarding process, how employees are encouraged to take responsibility and control over their learning, and how the onboarding process is just the start for employees in their career development with the organization.

The idea is that strategic brand awareness communications and fundraising have a direct relationship.
