Investing in Your Communities: grantmaking trends and investment excellence

Philanthropy New Zealand is taking to the road this October and stopping in Rotorua, the Wairarapa, Nelson and Dunedin with interactive one-day workshops exploring current trends and effective practices in grantmaking and investment governance.

The workshop will include:

A high-engagement session with Kate Frykberg, Thinktank Charitable Trust, on what it means to be a transparent funder, and how to design a pragmatic funding process that is grantseeker friendly as well as robust.

George Thomson, Russell Investments will discuss best practice for connecting investment governance with investment performance. The interactive presentation will use case-studies to highlight how well-considered investment beliefs can be expressed in an investment portfolio, from a trustee’s perspective.
