LATE BREAKING ABSTRACTS

The online submission system is now CLOSED.

The BMT Tandem Meetings will be accepting  late-breaking abstracts for the 2018 BMT Tandem Meetings from November 6 through December 4, 2017. Two abstracts for oral presentation and six to eight for poster presentation may be accepted for presentation during the BMT Tandem Meetings, February 21-25, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Note: All late breaking abstract authors must be prepared to provide information on why the abstract was not submitted during the regular abstract period.

Deadline for late breaking abstract submission is Monday, December 4, 2017. Notifications regarding selected abstracts will be distributed in late December.

New Embargo Policy for 2018
To allow 2018 BMT Tandem Meetings attendees to prepare a review schedule of all abstracts, the BMT Tandem Meetings embargo will be lifted, and abstracts will be available for review through the online agenda, approximately six weeks in advance of the BMT Tandem Meetings.

Abstract – Audio Presentation “New”
Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation during the 2018 BMT Tandem Meetings will be required to submit a one-minute audio presentation to accompany their abstract.  This audio will be available to all attendees through the BMT Tandem Meetings APP.  Information on uploading audio content will be included within the abstract acceptance letters.

Conflict of Interest
The ASBMT and CIBMTR are committed to ensuring the integrity of its educational programming along with aiding the professional development of those individuals who are involved in advancing science and improving the diagnosis of and treatment of patients. To that end, the ASBMT and CIBMTR rigorously review the programming offered at its educational sessions to ensure that those sessions that involve commercial content focus on the science and that all participants in ASBMT/CIBMTR educational events involving CME comply with ACCME Standards for Commercial Support. Further, we ask that the focus of educational programming (including abstracts) be educational as opposed to promotional and that to the extent feasible, generic names be utilized in lieu of a commercial product name.
