Level: Intermediate Description of Workshop Levels
Technique: Wire weaving

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Dimension weaving
  • Adding base wires
  • Wire weaving

Learn to sculpt and add dimension as you weave, all while making this stunning bracelet. In this class, I will be teaching the method, but each student will have the freedom to find their own path and add their own personality as they sculpt their woven strips to create an organic free-formed bracelet. They will learn how to add in extra wires where needed and how to use their fingers instead of tools to achieve better results. Because of the amount of weaving required in this class the students will have to finish at home. Students can choose how much they want to further embellish the bracelet with varying sizes of beads to accentuate their finished design. You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: It is highly recommended that students come to class familiar with wire weaving. Their bracelet will come out better if they do.

Materials you are required to bring: Ruler, permanent marker, wire cutters, nylon pliers, round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers, chasing hammer, bench block, beading awl, needle files. A selection of beads of your choice ranging in size from 8mm- 2mm. Optional: ott-light, magnification.
