Make it today, wear it tonight! Combining pre-made jump rings in varying sizes is a great way to create a stunning statement ring (or pendant) while perfecting soldering skills. In this intermediate level class, students will learn soldering tips and skills, and how to set a faceted stone in a tube bezel while creating a ring or pendant. You WILL complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Previous soldering experience is recommended

Materials you are required to bring: 6"x6" or larger solder board, steel ring mandrel, butane and butane torch, chasing hammer, mallet, steel block. Please Note: All students MUST have a butane torch to complete this project.

Combining pre-made jump rings is a great way to create a cute little triple daisy chain pendent (or a single pendant plus earrings) while perfecting soldering skills. In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn soldering tips and skills, plus stone setting. All levels are welcome and no metalworking experience is required. You WILL complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Previous soldering experience is helpful, but not required.

Materials you are required to bring: 6" x 6" or larger solder board, butane and butane torch, steel block, rubber or rawhide mallet, 6"x6" solder board, chasing hammer, third hand. Please note: All students must have a butane torch to complete this project.

The Three Stone Ring incorporates two basic design principles: the use of positive/negative space and the rule of odds. These elements combine to create a visually pleasing and easily wearable design. It is also a relatively quick, easy and economical project. Although previous soldering experience is recommended, adventurous beginners may also find this a satisfying project. You WILL complete this project in class.

Make it today, wear it tonight! Using a butane torch, some silver wire, and a few premade bezels, students will create 3 amazingly beautiful rings that are deceptively simple to construct. Students will learn techniques in soldering, filing, fabrication and stone setting. Soldering experience is helpful, but not required. You WILL complete this project in class.
