Following the success of the 2016 event we are pleased to announce an additional two workshops on Grantmaking and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Philanthropy New Zealand is proud to host this Treaty workshop in Auckland with the support of Foundation North and in Christchurch with the support of Ngāi Tahu.

The workshop will explore Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implications for your everyday work in philanthropy. The day will be a mix of presentation, group work and facilitated discussion.

Every trustee, manager and grants advisor needs an understanding of our nation’s founding document, The Treaty of Waitangi, and what it means for our work in philanthropy.

This workshop has been tailored specifically for those of us working in funding. It is designed to be particularly helpful for non-Māori funders who want to question and explore the Treaty’s implications in a positive, interactive learning environment. You will come away with an improved understanding of what the Treaty means, its relevance today and some of the practical implications for philanthropy. Spaces are limited - register now to guarantee your place!
