eHealth Hub presents "Practical steps to Data Protection compliance"

Tuesday, October 17, 11:00-13:00
Location: Woodblock Hall

The General Data Protection Regulation is coming into force on 25th of May 2018. It strengthens the rights of European citizens concerning their personal data and therefore puts requirements on every organization that is controlling or processing this data. In this regulation the European Union puts special attention to genetic, biometric and in general any health data of individuals.

This interactive session introduces businesses and entrepreneurs to the new online data and privacy landscape. It explores how European data protection laws impact the collection and processing of data, thereby affecting you. You'll get a detailed understanding of how to adhere to data protection standards whilst maintaining your start-up's commercial goals.

Topics covered will include: an overview of the European data protection and online privacy standards, compliance requirements, fines; current and most common data protection mistakes and unfit privacy practices; and what you should be doing to protect your current or potential business.

This presentation will be given by eHealth Hub, an EU funded initiative which provides free support to help eHealth start-ups thrive. Please sign up beforehand on our registration form.
