Poster Presentations

Thank you for your interest in submitting a poster presentation at the INS 2012 Annual Convention and Industrial Exhibition. Poster presentations allow you to engage and inform your colleagues of information regarding your research findings or clinical innovations related to the field of infusion nursing.

Poster presentations are divided into four categories:
  • Evidence-Based Practice/Research
  • Process Improvement
  • International
    • Comprised of submissions by attendees from outside of North America
  • Industry
    • Posters that are sponsored, supported, funded, or submitted by industry
Poster presentations will be judged by conference attendees on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the exhibit hall.  Posters will be judged on the following criteria:
  • Originality: is the concept presented new information or a new approach to an old issue?
  • Methods: is the research design valid? Are statistical techniques appropriate?
  • Presentation: do the figures and graphs used impact the viewers’ understanding of the information? Is the poster easy to read? Does the author(s) engage the viewer? Is the author(s) knowledgeable about the information in the poster?
  • Significance: does the conclusion have an impact on the infusion nursing specialty?

One winner will be chosen in each category. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded during the Celebration of Excellence on Tuesday evening.

The deadline for Poster Presentation submission is December 15, 2011.

Poster presenters must be registered to attend the Annual Convention and Industrial Exhibition on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. All expenses related to the poster presentation and meeting attendance (including but not limited to travel, transportation, lodging and meals) are the responsibility of the poster presenter.

Poster presenters in the categories of Evidence-Based Practice/Research, Process Improvement, and International are required to complete a Conflict of Interest disclosure in order to submit a poster for presentation. Poster presentations that are submitted by industry, or have industry support must be submitted in the “Industry” category.

Posters presenters that are accepted for presentation will be notified by email beginning January 5, 2012.
