Preparing your Presentation
  • To ensure a consistent, professional look between all of the educational sessions, please use the INS Annual Convention PowerPoint template that you received with your acceptance email for your presentation.
  • Limit the amount of text on your slides; approximately four to six bullet points on each slide.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Speaker notes within the PowerPoint will not be available for your use during the presentation. Please print out any speaker notes you need, and bring those with you.
  • All educational sessions are accredited for continuing nursing education credit through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), therefore must adhere to ANCC accreditation guidelines, and be reviewed by INS prior to the meeting. Please note the following restrictions:
    • Corporate logos or business logos may not be included on any of the slides.
    • Content must be fair and balanced and not include any commercial bias about a specific device or medication.
    • Presenters must receive permission to use copyrighted material such as photos.

Submitting your Presentation

  • For easier identification, please name your presentation using the following format:
    • File Name: “Last Name – Session Title.PPT”
    • If you need to make any changes to your presentation once you have submitted it, and prior to March 1, please contact Michelle Berreth, INS Nurse Educator.
  • Your PowerPoint presentation must be submitted to INS no later than MARCH 1, 2012 for review. Click on the black box on the upper right of this page to submit your presentation to INS.
  • Your presentation will be reviewed to ensure that the educational content meets the stated learning objectives for your session, adheres to the ANCC accreditation guidelines, and does not include unauthorized content. INS will pre-load your presentation onto a laptop that will be used in the meeting room. Please feel free to bring a backup of your presentation on a flash drive.
