Dr. Sanah Hasan Rph, PharmD, PhD

Ajman University of Science and Technology

Dr Hasan received her PhD in 2013 from Monash University, Australia, her PharmD in 2002, and her BS in pharmacy in 1994 from the School of Pharmacy, University of Kansas, Kansas, USA. Dr Sanah Hasan is a faculty, previously at the University of Sharjah and currently at Ajman University of Science and Technology where she is involved in teaching clinical pharmacy.

She is the invited speaker at multiple regional and international conferences and workshops, and the principal investigator of several research projects focusing on pharmacy practice and community pharmacy services in the UAE and the region.

 
Dr. Mohammed Abuelkhair
Former Head of Pharma, Medicine & Medical Regulatory Section
Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD)

Dr. Mohammed Abuelkhair found the Pharma/Medicine and Medical Product Department at the Health Authority in Abu Dhabi. He was the Head of Drugs and Medical Products Regulation Section and Chair several committees including Abu Dhabi Pharmacy and therapeutics Committees; Continuing Pharmacy Education Committee and Alternative and complementary committee, Pharmacy Council, Vaccine Committee and Allergy and Asthma committee. He founded the drug information and poison control center in Abu Dhabi. Dr.Mohammed won the Arab Health Award in 2005 for excellence in pharmacy services. His major area of research is in drug safety and rational drug use. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
 
Dr Nigel Umar Beejay MB BChir, MA (Cantab), FACP, CPE, Dip (Med Hyp)

Dr Nigel Umar Beejay is a Physician Executive and Consultant Physician, Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with over 20 years experience of global health care systems in the UK, US Canada, South Africa, Gulf States and India. He works at Advanced Center for Daycare Surgery in Abu Dhabi and in Harley Street in London. Dr Beejay obtained his medical degree at Kings College, Cambridge University where he was also awarded an MA in Social and Political Sciences. Dr Beejay has further degrees in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health Science University and in Medical Hypnosis from University College London. While in the UK, Dr Beejay worked in the National Health Service in London, was a key stakeholder in the UK Cerner Millennium deployment, and was instrumental in the development of several UK National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. In the UAE, Dr Beejay has been a key stakeholder in the development and implementation of colon cancer screening by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, is Chairman of Abu Dhabi Hepatology Conference for several years, and was formerly Chairman of the Health Information Management Committee at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi (managed by Cleveland Clinic). Dr Beejay is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr Beejay teaches and lectures internationally on Gastroenterology, Health IT, Quality and Advanced Endoscopy.
