            Registration & Payment

Q: Is it possible to pay by bank wire transfer?

A: Yes, at the end of your registration you will be asked to submit payment; at the same time you will be given the option to either pay by credit card or by wire transfer. Please select wire transfer, and follow the steps accordingly.

Q: When is the deadline for the Early Bird rate?

A: The conference registration early bird rates will end Friday 26th January 2018

Q: How much is the registration fee?

A: For an overview of all the conference registration fees, please see the Rates Section of the website

Q: Can we bring non-registered associates/partners/spouses to the conference evening events?

A: No. The only two FIDI Evening events in which a delegate can pay for one extra ticket to bring a non-registered associate to are the FIDI Welcome Reception on Sunday evening and the FIDI Gala Dinner on Wednesday evening.

You can either register your guest during your registration (and pay as part of your invoice), or you can contact conference@fidi.org to request their participation to the event; you will receive the invoice once your request has been processed.

Q: If a registered delegate is unable to attend, what can I do?

A: If you or one of your delegates is registered but no longer able to attend, there are two options:

1) you can send someone in their place. In this case, please modify the registration for the individual no longer able to attend, and simply change their name.
Please note that additional activities are non-refundable, so the replacement delegate would be registered to these activities as well.

2) Cancel the registration completely. Depending on when you cancel and the cancellation policy at the time, you may be entitled to a refund.

Q: What is the Cancellation Policy?

A: The below table outlines the 2018 FIDI Conference cancellation refund policy:

Until 27th January 2018 inclusive

70% refund

From 28th January until 26th February 2018 inclusive

50% refund

As from 27th February 2018

0% refund





Q: I did not have a profile photo at the time of registration, and therefore uploaded any image I had at hand. How can I change my photo?

A: You can send an email to conference@fidi.org, explaining your request, clearly stating your exact name and attaching the correct photo.

Q: I want to check my registration, but I cannot find my reference code?

A: Please contact conference@fidi.org, requesting your reference code


FIDI 39 Club Membership and Attendance Participation

Q: I am interested in joining the FIDI 39 Club, how can I do this?

 A: You can join by sending an email request to Lydia.Cope@fidi.org, stating you would like to join the FIDI 39 Club and are attending the 2018 FIDI Conference in San Diego.

Q: I would like to join the FIDI 39 Club, and their activities during the FIDI Conference - do I need to wait until I am an official FIDI 39 Club member before I register to the conference?

A: No, if you are planning and confirm to join the FIDI 39 Club, then you can go ahead with your conference registration, selecting the FIDI 39 Club participant option. 

Q: What is included in the FIDI 39 Club Conference registration fee?

A: The following activities are included in the FIDI 39 Club conference registration:

> FIDI 39 Club Charity Activity on Saturday afternoon

> FIDI 39 Club Roll Call & Welcome Drink on Saturday evening

> FIDI 39 Club Conference (1 day) on Sunday

> Morning Coffee Break & Lunch during the 39 Club Conference on Sunday

> Group Photo following the lunch

> FIDI 39 Club Party on Tuesday evening

            

Visa & Invitation Letters

Q: Where can I find out if I need a visa to enter United States?

A: You can find more information regarding visas on the Visa Section of this website. We strongly recommend you check with the US Embassy in your country of origin to find out the exact visa requirements.

Q: How can I get an official Invitation Letter?

A: Please check the visa requirements applicable to you by checking with the Embassy of the USA in your country. If you need an official invitation letter, please contact us at conference@fidi.org

            

Conference Accommodation

Q: How do I book my room at the Hotel Del Coronado?

A: You can find all the information and how to book your hotel accommodation, on the website's accommodation page.

Q: What is the cancellation policy for the Hotel Del Coronado?

A: The following cancellation policy will apply for all bookings at the Hotel Del Coronado, under the FIDI room block:
  • There is a 72hr cancellation policy to avoid penalty. If cancellation is required within 72hrs, one night deposit plus tax will be forfeited
  • No-shows will forfeit one night plus tax deposit. After arrival, guests departing earlier than reserved will be charged one night room and applicable tax.

The hotel cut-off date is 26 February 2018 Midnight CET, after this date the FIDI negotiated rate will no longer be available. For booking requests after this date, they will be upon hotel availability and hotel rate. The FIDI negotiated rate is no longer guaranteed.


Affiliate Meeting Room Rental

Q: Can delegates book a meeting room at the conference hotel?

A: Yes, all delegates are welcome and able to book a meeting room at the conference hotel, to hold their own private meetings (on a first come first serve basis).

Q: How much is it to book a meeting room?

A: When booking a meeting room, you have two options

          1) Half day booking at 350EUR

          2) Full day booking at 550EUR
