We are proud to present the Kaiser Permanente Women in Medicine Symposium on June 10, 2017 and invite you to join us as we maintain professional excellence, opportunity and support to women in our organization.

We have assembled an outstanding group of women to help lead interactive and insightful discussions on topics that were chosen based on input from women across the Region:

  • Identifying and fostering what energizes and brings us joy at work
  • Understanding gender differences
  • Work-Life Integration
  • Communication – Difficult conversations, learning to say no
  • Leadership Development
  • Fostering diversity

We are fortunate to have as our Keynote Speaker Dr. Emiliana Simon-Thomas, Science Director of the Greater Good Science Center based at UC Berkeley. She helps run its Expanding Gratitude project and is co-instructor of its popular Science of Happiness online course, with over 65,000 students from around the world. She has presented on the science of happiness and compassion to the Dalai Lama and audiences worldwide. She will lead an interactive workshop with practical exercises on fostering kindness, empathy, social connection, collaborative relationships and gratitude at both work and at home to help us lead more meaningful lives and improve happiness and well-being.

This symposium is also a great opportunity to interact with Kaiser Permanente colleagues from around the region to build relationships and share best practices. Women leaders from across the Region will be participating in the conference.

Come join us!
