WHO SHOULD ATTEND & WHY 

WestDef is an event for companies, government and academia in the defence industry as well as those companies looking to find opportunities in the sector. Our conference format has proven perfect to connect primes and large companies with SME’s for the purposes of supplier development and R&D activities. The event also provides B2B and B2G meeting opportunities to bring all participants together for focused introductions. The attendees include top level military, government officials, major procurement officials, and representation from the industry supply chain, from large prime contractors to supplying companies.

The presentations and panel sessions provide an excellent opportunity to present current government programs and industry activities to all the participants, allows all delegates to voice opinions in a collaborative environment. WCDIA is proud to submit these outcomes as white paper recommendations to the government of Canada on behalf of industry. This is the opportunity for your voice to be heard and your participation to be meaningful.

New in 2017 will be the addition of Cyber. We will explore the future of cybersecurity and cyber hardening in the defence industry as well as discussing the opportunities that exist today and into the future. If you are a company involved in the cyber industry and want to explore defence opportunities, this is a must attend event.

Complimentary to all registrants of the event, booking your B2B will permit you to connect with other WestDef participants. Pre-booking 15 your minute meetings that will take place during the conference in the B2B Café, your exhibitor booth or the adjacent lounge space. Delegates will be able to use our online app to facilitate the meeting process.

CHARITY

In lieu of speaker gifts for WestDef 2018, WCDIA will be making a donation to the Veterans Food Bank.
