The very best CIOs and senior executives know how to influence others and drive value into their companies. They accomplish this by leveraging their reputations, or personal ‘brands,’ says executive coach and author Suzanne Bates. “The question is: What is your brand? How do you communicate it in a way that motivates, inspires and influences others?” In this opening keynote, Suzanne will share some insights and proven strategies for capturing the value of your brand. 10:30 am - 11:00 amRefreshment and Networking Break
11:00 am - 11:30 amThe CIO Collaboration Paradox
David Murashige, Vice President, Business Development, Avaya
Communications and collaboration are a major challenge for today’s CIOs, largely because the devices and user experiences tend to fall short of what enterprise workers need in easy-to-use tools to help them connect, communicate and collaborate at a moment’s notice. High-end telepresence solutions are too expensive for most companies. Low-tech document sharing only goes so far. Neither offer the increased productivity and process efficiency of seamless integration across video, instant messaging, screen and document sharing, email and web. In this industry expert session, Dave Murashige, Avaya's VP, Business Development, will talk about the changing face of business collaboration and how the directions emerging in this field can help CIOs fuel corporate innovation and growth.

11:30 am - 12:30 pmCIO Discussion Panel: IT Consumerization, Mobility and the Cloud

Walt Oswald, Corporate Vice President and CIO, Motorola Mobility
Jacques Ouimet, VP of Infrastructure Services, John Hancock Financial Services

A trio of mega-trends in mobility, IT consumerization and cloud computing are converging on the business technology landscape today, fast becoming a core enabler of leading-edge innovation and business value delivery. The speedy transition of cloud computing from last year’s buzzword to this year’s reality has surprised even the most skeptical CIOs. Also at play in today's enterprises are accelerating trends in mobility, as the drive to leverage new kinds of data “on the move” has a significant impact across many industries. These trends bring with them tensions in the CIO role around enablement vs. security, agility vs. integration, and business vs. IT in technology resource control.  In this panel discussion with prominent IT leaders, you’ll hear how companies are managing these tensions as they reconsider their technology roadmaps, serve new customer bases and respond more effectively to the demands of business in a hyper-connected online world.

3:00 pm - 3:30 pmLeveraging the Network as an Engine for Innovation and Growth
Michael Rau, Vice President and CTO, Borderless Network Architecture, Cisco

Yet as much as the Internet and corporate networks have evolved over the years, most companies have just scratched the surface of their potential. As business continues to evolve, IT leaders must ask themselves if their own networks are holding their organizations back or moving them forward.  This keynote session will explore the IT industry trends leading the evolution of the Internet, real-world strategies for driving business impact with your network, and how to increase returns on your IT investment.

3:30 pm - 4:00 pmAlternate Engagement Models for IT Services: Don't Pay for Efforts Alone
Prasanna Satpathy, Sr. VP & Head, Financial & Professional Services, HCL

Most organizations struggle to prove the actual business value realized from their huge investments in technology and IT services.  This disconnect is something that makes business executives even more skeptical about signing off on capital expenditures for IT integration services. So it is especially important to understand alternate engagement models that can be based on measured business value and savings from the engagement. During this  session, our expert will delve into the details of how such alternate models work in the real world and will cover some practical examples of some specific HCL engagements.
4:15 pm - 5:00 pmClosing Keynote: IT’s Role in Creating a New Generation of Connected Vehicles
Mark Carbrey, CIO, Cross Country Automotive Services
When Hyundai rolled out its BlueLink connected vehicle technology this year, CIO Mark Carbrey of Cross Country Automotive knew every inch of that telematics offering before consumers got the first glimpse. At Cross Country, the innovative technology known as the T3 Connected Vehicle Platform was a $20 million project involving user-oriented development, multi-modal delivery of services, cloud computing and high-transaction mobile applications. Developed as an entirely new type of product, T3 allows the simple integration of vehicles, websites, mobile devices (or any endpoint) to backend content, and was heavily influenced by focus-group testing as it was built to be “fast and fun to use.” In this entertaining closing keynote, Mark will take us behind the scenes of this game-changing, business-driven IT initiative that put Cross Country on the map with automotive manufacturers.
