• Coloring metal
  • Texturing
  • Design

If you want to add color and design to your jewelry but can't draw this class is for you. You will learn how to use colored pencil on metal to create a sunburst or starburst design of your choice. Learn how to texture, stamp, engrave, prepare and color your piece.You WILL complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: None

Materials you are required to bring: 1-12 pack of Prismacolor premier colored pencils (in tin only); no other colored pencils will work, or can be purchased by contacting the instructor at least 4 weeks before the start of the class. Price $21.00, 1-#0 or #1 flat art paint brush, and 1-# 6 or #8 flat art paint brush, 1-black permanent extra fine marker (sharpie)., Small metal files for jewelry making, pencil sharpener, #2 pencil and metal scribe. Optional: Flat nosed pliers, metal stamps of your choice, and small steel block for stamping and chasing hammer

Join me to explore heat patina on copper to give beautiful color to your jewelry pieces. You will learn how to use a small torch to produce a color patina on a round lovely pendant, how to create designs with several heating techniques, use metal stamps, riveting, patina, and texture to take your work to the next level of design. You will also be given proper use of tools. Student will complete the project in class. You WILL complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: None

Materials you are required to bring: None.
Optional: Small hand held torch, butane fuel, and heat brick, chasing hammer, steel block, flat nosed pliers, and texture tools.
