Technique: Wire Weaving,Wire Work,Wire Wrapping


Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Learn to weave wire using a flat vice
  • Create a frame for your bracelet using 10 gauge half round wire
  • Will learn about variations of this weaving technique

Learn to weave wire using a flat vice. This is a structured weave based on traditional basket weaving techniques. You will be shown how to keep tension on the wires so that you will create an even weave that will be framed in 10 gauge half round wire. The finishing touch will be to add more half round in gold filled wire.You WILL  complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Should be comfortable working with half round wire

Materials you are required to bring: Task light and magnification if necessary

Technique: Wire Weaving,Wire Work,Wire Wrapping

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Learn the herringbone weave technique
  • Learn to create a self-closure on the bracelet
  • Learn to make wrapped loops

The herringbone weave is distinctive whether in beading or wire work. You will have the opportunity in this class to practice your weave in copper wire before you move on to the silver filled. You will learn to create a wrapped loop and a hook to complete your bracelet. You will have many choices in bead colors. You WILL  complete this project in class.

Level: All Levels Description of Workshop Levels
Technique: Wire Weaving,Wire Work

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Learn wire weaving using a vice
  • Learn to bend wire consistently to achieve desired outcome
  • Learn to shape wire using hands and pliers

We will use gold and silver filled to weave the love knot. Each side is completed separately, then woven together to complete this unique bracelet. We will finish off the bracelet with a sterling silver clasp. You WILL  complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: You must be comfortable working wire with your hands and maintaining tension. You do not need previous weaving experience, but you should have experience working with wire and understand how to control it.

• Learn about shapes and hardness of wire
  • Learn to work with and control multiple pieces of wire
  • Learn to wrap with half round wire

The beauty of the colorful seed beads combined with shine of precious metal creates a unique bracelet that will make you smile each time you wear it. You will have many color options for your bracelet or you can choose a single color. The emphasis in this class will be to learn the basics of wire wrap design using square and half round wire. You will create your own hook to finish off the bracelet. You WILL  complete this project in class.

Technique: Wire Work,Wire Wrapping


Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Learn to create prongs using wire wrapping skills
  • Learn to use a caliper to measure the thickness of stones
  • Improve your skills with half round wire

Creating prongs with wire wrapping skills is the main focus in this class. You will learn precision and placement of prongs around your stone so that symmetry is achieved. You can choose to embellish your pendant very simply or add a little flare with your remaining wire. You WILL  complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Should be experienced wrapping with half round wire and working with square half hard wire

Materials you are required to bring: Task light and magnification if necessary
