Level: Advanced Description of Workshop Levels
Technique: Chain Maille

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
•  Working with very small jump rings
  • Setting a Swarovski rivoli into a chainmaille pattern
  • Weaving small rings into very small and tight spaces

The Regal Rose Ring is a stunning chainmaille ring that creates a three-dimensional 'blossom' around a sparkling Swarovski rivoli. By patiently weaving in fine jump rings, students will create delicate layers of bright aluminum petals supported by a custom-colour finger ring band. You WILL  complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Students should be comfortable working with 20awg (0.8mm) jump rings and should have experience completing very fine and delicate chainmaille patterns. Good hand control and vision are essential

Materials you are required to bring: Task lighting and magnification if needed

European Elegance is a beautiful, thick chainmaille cuff that students can choose to complete in either bronze and bright aluminum, or a combination of the various colors available with anodized aluminum. Students may be able to complete the bracelet in class. You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Previous chainmaille experience is recommended but not necessary

Materials you are required to bring: Task lighting and magnification if necessary

  • Incorporating Czech glass beads into chainmaille
  • Anodized aluminum

The Rainbow Bridge Chainmaille Bracelet incorporates gorgeous Czech pressed glass donuts and anodized aluminum jump rings into a stunning bracelet. With a large selection of colours available in both materials, students will be able to customize their bracelets. You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Previous chainmaille experience is highly recommended

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Incorporating Czech glass beads into chainmaille
  • Creating a large and intensive chainmaille project
  • Small chainmaille jump rings

The Lattice Necklace is a stunning masterpiece that will test your chainmaille skills. Beautiful Czech glass quadralentil beads will be suspended in a delicate, graduated chainmaille collar that's guaranteed to turn heads. Students will have the choice to either add an additional layer of Czech glass dagger beads to the edge of the collar, or to leave it bare. Students will also have the choice from various finishes of both Czech glass quadralentils and daggers. This piece will not be finished during class, however, students will leave class with the skills and materials required to finish the necklace. You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Students must be comfortable working with thin chainmaille jump ring (20awg/0.8mm) and should have experience completing more complicated chainmaille patterns.
