Level: Intermediate Description of Workshop Levels
Technique: Bead Embroidery, Bead Weaving

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Basic bead embroidery
  • Tubular Herringbone with opening
  • Peyote toggle

There is a lot going on in this class. The focal of the piece is changeable. Students will make a basic embroidery center which can be removed from the base. Two toggles to attach and two openings on the base make this possible. Students will learn how to make the opening in the herringbone tube, peyote toggles, and the center focal of bead embroidery. This stunning piece is fun to make. Color options will be available including a black base. You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Students should know basic herringbone and basic peyote

Materials you are required to bring: Needle size 10, smoke 6 pound fire line or thread of choice, bead mat, sharp scissors, lighting, and magnification if required.

  • Constructed design
  • CzechMate system of beads

Make this spectacular cuff style bracelet is created using a combination of CzechMate beads topped off with a flowing set of crescent beads. This stunning constructed design is layered for depth and interest. The design is built one section at a time with different connections followed by the buildup on top creating the caterpillar flowing along the tile road. You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Ability to work with small beads in tight places

Materials you are required to bring: Ability to work with small beads in tight places.
