Technique: Bead Embroidery

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• New technique to create an easy and beautiful chain that can be adapted for other projects
  • Combine components together to create a necklace
  • Bead embroider around an uneven stone

The long pendant is one of today's fashion trends, so I had to create one of my own. Using a dressy and surrounding with beautiful seed beads, pearls and crystals, this piece comes to life. Wear it with jeans or for dress up. The long pendant is truly a new classic. You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Should be familiar with even-count tubular peyote stitch

Materials you are required to bring: Size 12 beading needles, Fireline 6 lb test, bead mat, light source, magnification, tape measure, and E6000 glue

Level: Advanced Description of Workshop Levels
Technique: Bead Stitching

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• New ways to work with the new 2 true beads
  • Attach various components together to create a stunning bracelet
  • New stitching techniques and tricks


 
Work with the new 2 true beads to create the mirage of a "heavy metal" bracelet. Give the piece a sculpted look by combining various stitching with cup chain and crystal accents. Use a drusy as the centerpiece to give the bracelet extra "sparkle" and glitz. As a result, you will make a piece that will glisten on your wrist..You WILL NOT complete this project in class.

Prerequisites/Skills Needed: Must have a good understanding of right angle weave

Materials you are required to bring: Size 12 beading needles, Size 11 tulip needles, Fireline 6 lb test, E-6000 glue, light source, work surface, and magnification
