Dr. Fayeza Saif Nasir

Dr. Fayeza Saif is a consultant family physician and the Acting Deputy CEO of Corniche Hospital, one of the business entities of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). She received her MBBS Degree from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University. She completed her Arab Board Residency program in Family and Community Medicine in 2005 from Abu Dhabi. She also holds an Executive Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Zayed University in affiliation with Houston Clear lake University & North Carolina University at Chapel Hill, USA, and a fellowship in Early Childhood Development from SheikhaSalama Bint Hamdan foundation & Yale University. Dr.Fayeza has a 15 year experience in Clinical work. Besides her active role in hospital administration, she is aalso interested in teaching and is a faculty in the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Family Medicine Residency program in Abu Dhabi.
 
Dr. Khawla Sultan Alnasri

Dr. Khawla Sultan Alnasri is a Consultant Family Physician and currently working as the Clinic Manager of Multispecialty Center – Maqta. She is practicing as consultant family physicians with high level of involvement with health maintenance, screening program, community awareness, and chronic disease care and prevention. She is involved in the taskforce operational KPI at AHS and actively contribute towards achieving JCI re-accreditation of AHS. She had contribution in quality improvement projects such as psoriasis co-morbidity at the emirates of Abu Dhabi and clinical KPI improvement projects.

She has ACHE membership and a recipient of certified recognition of exceptional customer/patients care at Maqta health center – Abu Dhabi, Dubai quality award and Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award. 

 
Dr. Saleema Wani
Consultant Gynecologist
Corniche Hospital

Dr. Wani has over 28 years of extensive experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with her main area of interest in the management of high risk pregnancy and medical disorders in pregnancy. Dr. Wani is the lead consultant for labour ward and training supervisor for interns, clinical attachment, residents and other junior physicians. In addition, she is also involved in teaching, developing guidelines and competencies.

In addition to her daily clinical responsibilities, Dr. Wani is is involved in Root Cause Analysis, Case Reviews, helping junior doctors to prepare MRCOG theory & OSCE. She is also a JCIA champion for Assessment of Patients and supervises and chairs Perinatal Mortality & Morbidity monthly meetings.

Dr. Wani has developed and established care pathway for External Cephalic Version in Breech presentation. She has developed the Orientation programme for new doctors, K2, CTG workshop and Competency besides introducing Obstetric Emergency drills with education department and clinical handover in labour ward and HDU using SBAR format.

Dr. Wani is a gold medalist for academic excellence in MBBS Distinction in General Surgery. She also received the highest marks in her MD course. She has received an RCOG appreciation award for organising pre-conference workshops and a certificate of appreciation for Best Tutor from the Family Medicine Residency programme.

 
Dr. Bashir Taha Salih

Dr. Bashir born in Sudan, qualified and trained in Germany with MD Internal medicine (internist), established the first unit of Obstetric Medicine in UAE/Middle East – the only unit recognised by Royal College for training obstetricians in Maternal/Obstetric Medicine. In June 2012 awarded the Fellowship of the RCOG UK. He published several papers on medical problems in pregnancy in particular DM. He looks after patients with medical problems in pregnancy and hold several combined clinic in Corniche Hospital.
 
Dr. Amitabha Majumdar
Lead Clinician Urogynaecology and Pelvic Floor Surgery

Dr Amit Majumdar has undertaken his undergraduate and postgraduate training in India. He then went to the UK where he completed his MRCOG and CCT. He has worked as a Consultant in the UK prior to this in a busy University hospital and his main areas of interest, experience and expertise are in female urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction and obstetric anal sphincter injury. He also had significant interest and experience in management of perinatal mental health.Additionally, he has undertaken full-time research in the
” use of urodynamics as an intervention prior to treatment “ and “inpatient bladder retraining

Prior to joining the Corniche Hospital in March, 2015, he was the Specialty Lead for the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Manchester where he was responsible for bringing change in electronic patient record and intranet upgrade for coding in obstetrics and gynaecology, clinical negligence scheme and governance, setting up the urogynaecology and perinatal mental health service and was responsible for ensuring 138 hours consultant-delivered service on the delivery suite.

He is the Lead clinician for Urogynaecology services for Corniche Hospital and is setting up all advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modalities for management of female urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction and obstetric anal sphincter injury. He has also published and presented extensively in the field ofurogynaecology and other specialties of obstetrics and gynaecology.

Dr Majumdar is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), International Urogynaecological Association (IUGA), International Continence Society (ICS) and British Society of Urogynaecologists (BSUG).

 
Dr. Waleed Riad
Consultant Anesthesiologist & Interventional pain Physician,

Dr. Waleed has more than 15 years of clinical experience before he joins Corniche Hospital in August 2015 as a Consultant Anesthesiologist & Interventional Pain Physician. He got his M.B.B.Ch and MSc in Anesthesia degree from Alexandria University, Egypt and received his Medical Doctorate (Ph. D) fromAlazhar University, Cairo, Egypt. He has introduced and described a new technique for ophthalmic regional block,which is easier and safer as he called it anterior orbit anesthetictechnique based on the anatomical landmarks. This has been presented in all continents of the world. He also simplifies the local anesthetic block for Dacrocystorhimostomy whichallow more patients to be operated as they have a great risk for general anesthesia. His expertise in his field lead him to published scientific research papers, references and studies that focus on managing pain in different medical environment. He is also a recipient of different awards for the excellence of his work.

Dr. Amani Kamal Saqallah has completed her Master degree in Nutrition Science and Policy with the combination of public health at Tufts University-USA and her BSc in Human Medical Nutrition from King Faisal University-KSA. She is a freelancer member at Abu Dhabi health authority - Nutrition task force since 2011 where she is directing her role to nutrition policy and CVD prevention program which laded to the development of some regulations and guidelines such as school nutrition and Weqaya- CVD prevention. She is also leading a nutrition therapy and community nutrition education tasks and practicing her medical nutrition therapy counseling clinic as a senior medical nutrition practitioner. Her research focus is on behavior change and lifestyle roles in prevention diseases such as obesity & CVD in UAE. She has volunteering roles at several NGOs as she has the position of certified “Public Health Ambassador” by Abu Dhabi health authority HAAD.

Dr. Ahmed Mounir

Dr. Ahmed has in-depth level of knowledge in his field of medicine and integrative cardiology. He worked as House Officer in Ain Shams University Hospitals, Cairo where he received a two-month specialty training in the following clinical departments – Internal medicine (Immunology), General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Cardiology, Pediatrics, emergency medicine & Anesthesiology.

He served different medical facilities that enrich his experience such as Dar Elfoad Hospital where he was assigned in cardiac catheterization unit as well as the department and the ER; International Medical Centre as cardiac catheterization unit assistant, as well as echocardiography, stress tests and holter monitoring. He also serves El Galaa Family Hospital, Cairo Specialized Hospital, Farwania Hospital in Kuwait and Zayed military hospital before he joins Al Noor Hospital as Specialist Cardiology and now Acting Head of Cardiology Department.

He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB BCh) degree in 2000 and MSc in Cardiology degree in 2005 from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He is now preparing for MD degree in pediatric cardiology, thesis on “Real time 3D echocardiography for evaluation of TOF cases as an alternative for cardiac catheterization.″

 
Dr. Mohammed Abuelkhair

He founded the Pharma/Medicine and Medical Product Department at the Health Authority in Abu Dhabi. He was the Head of Drugs and Medical Products Regulation Section and Chair several committees including Abu Dhabi Pharmacy and therapeutics Committees;Continuing Pharmacy Education Committee and Alternative and complementary committee,Pharmacy Council, Vaccine Committee and Allergy and Asthma committee. He founded the drug information and poison control center in Abu Dhabi. Dr.Mohammed won the ArabHealth Award in 2005 for excellence in pharmacy services. His major area of research is in drug safety and rational drug use. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
 
Dr. Sadoon Sami Sadoon

Mr Sadoon is currently working as a consultant and the Chair of OBGYN department at Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He completed his training in the UK and awarded MRCOG and CCT. He worked as a consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist in England until 2015 when he joined Corniche Hospital. Mr Sadoon has a wide range of clinical skills, mainly in gynaecology with special skills and interest in Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery. He has introduced and developed numerous Minimal Access Surgery procedures during his work as a consultant in the NHS. Mr Sadoon is the author of several peer-reviewed papers published in top medical journals in the field of Minimal Invasive Surgery, as well as in general Obstetrics & Gynaecology
 
Dr. Amer Alata

Dr.Amer was graduated from Ross University School of Medicine, USA. He was involved in multiple research projects involving the impact of Paw Paw tea on lowering blood pressure, the impact of nicotine on post-op ileus, and the correlation between Asthma and obesity in a Hispanic population. His career focus was on medical education. He held the position of Medical Programs Director at a private institution for 4 years. He also held other positions including Medical Practice Manager for a chain of successful primary care outpatient centers. He is a member of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, as well as the Council on Cardiopulmonary, Critical Care, Perioperative and Resuscitation.
