• Communication strategies for starting and handling the conversation
• How to normalize the relationship after the conversation

Phase II Interactive Exercise: Applying Strategies for Difficult Business and Personal Conversations

Attendees will apply the learning points of the plenary to two mock role playing exercises.  The first exercise will present a difficult business conversation hypothetical.  The second exercise will present a personal management conversation hypothetical.  The group will collectively recap their approaches to compile best practices.

Addressing and Mitigating the Ethical Missteps of Those Around Us (Ethics CLE)

If anything is personal, it’s bad behavior.  Every company harbors some skeletons of sabotage, disrespect, people taking credit for other people’s work, and more.  But when does questionable or offensive behavior become illegal or a source of liability for the company?   When it comes to your conduct or that of other members of your executive team, where does questionable practices or comments cross into malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty claims? This session will cull from litigation trends, ethical pitfalls, regulatory guidance, and personal anecdotes to provide an overview of items to make sure you have in your toolkit for surviving and even thriving in the face of difficult situations.
