The San Diego Supercomputer Center is located on the campus of UC San Diego. Boot Camps are held at SDSC’s Auditorium E-B212 on the ground floor east entrance just off the driveway. SDSC sits between the Hopkins Parking Structure and RIMAC Sports Facility Complex on Hopkins Drive.

Food
Light refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the week. Monday evening hosts a reception and Thursday evening hosts a dinner at the beach.

Laptop Required
Summer Institute are designed as hand-on program and do require that you bring a laptop with administrative privileges and wireless connectivity. Wireless is available to all attendees through SDSC and UC San Diego networks.

Remote Participation
Remote participation is not available.

Scholarship towards on campus Room and Board

SDSC awards a limited number of scholarships to cover on-campus room and board (dorm style – private room, shared common area and bathrooms), as well as on campus dining, thanks to support from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Indicate on application if you would like to be considered for room and board scholarship. The housing allows for check in Sunday afternoon, departure Friday afternoon.  Scholarship funds only apply to on-campus room and board and are not available for any other travel expenses. Registration fee is required by all attendees.

Room & Board (R&B) Scholarship Recipients
Housing accommodations for R & B Scholarship participants is offered through UC San Diego Housing. Check in Sunday, August 9 after 3:00 pm. Check out Friday by 11:00 at the Village Conference Center. See website for check in location and details. Also, see additional map on right which identifies on campus points of interested housing including check-in.

Wireless Access
Wireless is available through SDSC and UCSD networks at all training locations.
