2014 Assets Learning Conference

Closing Lunch Plenary: Movements, Networks and Social Change

Friday, September 19th, 2014
12-2 PM

Room: Marquis Ballroom

Gloria Steinem—feminist leader, author and activist—will keynote this plenary, addressing the parallels between the asset movement’s radical assertion that the poor can save and be full stakeholders in our economy and another once-unthinkable idea: that women and men should have equal rights and opportunities. Ms. Steinem will remind us of our collective power to push for a more just society where all people are financially secure and have the tools and opportunities to fundamentally improve their economic position. Leaders in the Assets & Opportunity Network will share accomplishments from its first two years. Finally, CFED and JPMorgan Chase will announce a bold new partnership to invest in our work, our field and our movement.
