Housing is an important determinant of health, and substandard housing is a major public health issue. This session will present the significance of housing quality, energy efficiency and location (proximity to services) in affecting health-related outcomes of individuals and communities. Attendees will learn about cutting-edge and aligned health and housing policy initiatives, program implementations and research, including the importance of health impact assessments with relevant housing implications.
