2014 Assets Learning Conference

Expanding Retirement Security for All Workers

Wednesday, September 17th, 2014
10:15 - 11:45 AM

Room: Shaw

Just half of working-age Americans are confident that they will have enough money to retire, and most households aren’t saving nearly enough to cover their retirement needs. Meanwhile, the federal government spends billions in tax incentives for retirement savings, but these largely go to households that would save for retirement even without incentives. In this session, a panel of policy experts will explore barriers that low- and moderate-income workers face in saving for retirement, and present a range of policy solutions to expand retirement security for working families.
