Myles is a partner in LCP’s insurance de-risking practice, focused on advising pension schemes on longevity risk removal through buy-ins, buy-outs and longevity swaps. He is currently involved in a number of strategic assignments advising pension schemes on the measurement of longevity risk using LCP LifeAnalytics to help them determine whether to remove longevity risk and if so by what means in order to achieve best value-for-money.
He has extensive experience in the bulk annuity industry, having structured insurance-based solutions for UK pension schemes including P&O (£813m buy-in), BMW (£3,000m longevity swap), Philips Pension Fund Trustees (4 buy-in transactions, leading to a full buy-out, totalling over £3.5bn), Total (£1,600m collateralised buy-in) and InterContinental Hotels (£440m full buy-out).
