Giles advises on all aspects of pensions law, and acts for a broad range of trustees and employers. He has particular experience of DB schemes and questions arising from the participation and withdrawal of employers and restructuring of employer groups. Giles also has extensive experience of scheme governance and risk management issues including de-risking. He has advised widely on contentious pensions issues, including advising the Trustee in the landmark Merchant Navy Ratings Pension Fund litigation, for which the team was shortlisted for "Litigation Team of the Year" by The Lawyer and commended in the FT Europe Innovative Lawyers 2015 report.
