Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the symposium, the participants should be able to:

  1. Utilize current evidence/data for cartilage repair and its clinical implications in clinical treatment planning.
  2. Employ techniques to maximize efficiency and expand treatment using EB Perioperative Surgical Home Model to maintain quality of care outcomes and patient satisfaction (MR correlation, Bone morphology in ACLR, short stay / surgical home care)
  3. Apply latest techniques to manage and improve care of individual and patient population for:

              ∙   Ankle pathology
              ∙   Hand & Wrist pathology
              ∙   Elbow pathology
              ∙   Pediatric pathology
              ∙   Shoulder pathology

  4. Translate conclusions from published KP registry studies into best practice habits across all orthopaedic subspecialties.
  5. Implement future goals of department to optimize quality of care.
  6. Recognize indications/rationale for revision ankle ORIF, minimally invasive arthroplasty and use updated diagnostic and treatment algorithms to develop treatment options.
  7. Utilize current guidelines for perioperative anti-rheumatics.
  8. Apply the principles of pre-arthritic hip restoration and create strategies to incorporate best practice methodology.
