Accreditation Statement


The Kaiser Permanente National CME Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CME Credit Statement

The Kaiser Permanente National CME Program designates this live activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.™  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Recognition Statement

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 8 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
Note: If you would like earn up to 8 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program, please be advised that you will have to give permission to the Kaiser Permanente National CME Program to send your completion data to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and ABIM respectively.  Demographic data that must be sent includes your First and Last Name, ABIM ID, and Month and Day of birth (MM/DD).

Non-Physician Colleagues

Continuing Education (CE) Credit

Continuing education for our non-physician colleagues: This educational activity has been certified for 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ by the Kaiser Permanente National CME Program, an ACCME accredited provider. Nurses may report up to 12 contact hours toward the continuing education requirements for license renewal by their state Board of Registered Nursing. Most state Physician Assistant Boards, including the California Board, recognize this credit for physician assistants. Other health care providers should check with their licensing agency for credit reciprocity
