Ultrasound Bursaries
The Ultrasound Special Interest Group (SIG) and BSR are pleased to announce that they are able to award 10 bursaries worth £500 per BSR ultrasound course.
Applicants must:
- be a current fully paid BSR/BHPR member
- be a UK resident
- have access to an ultrasound machine
- complete the on-line application form a month before the course, providing details of their local ultrasound trainer or BSR regional chair who has endorsed their attending the course
- attend and complete the course
- have a year between attending the basic and developing ultrasound course
- for the developing skills course, have attended the BSR basic ultrasound course or equivalent
- not be funded by another organisation
There is a maximum of 10 bursaries per course. More bursaries after this will be at the discretion of Ultrasound Special Interest Group (SIG)
Process and deadlines:
- Applicants must register for the ultrasound course first
- Then they will be sent a confirmation e-mail with a link to an on-line bursary application form
- All applications must be submitted one month before the event. No bursaries will be awarded after this date
- Applicants can apply for a bursary for both the Basic and Developing Ultrasound Course but they must be a year apart from one another
- Three weeks before the course the Events Team will confirm whether applicants have been successful
- Bursaries are awarded on a first come first served basis.
- On the day of the course, the Events Team checks that all bursary holders have attended. Bursaries cannot be given to delegates who have not completed the course
- Six weeks after the event, the Aintree Arthritis Trust will send a check to the bursary holders. Please note that the BSR will use the addresses provided in the on-line application form unless stated otherwise.
