Treaty Training

Grantmaking and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Thursday 8 September, 10am - 4:30pm, Wellington
An interactive one-day workshop to explore Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implications for your everyday work in philanthropy.
Every trustee, manager and grants advisor needs an understanding of our nation’s founding document, The Treaty of Waitangi, and what it means for our work in philanthropy.
Philanthropy New Zealand is proud to host this Treaty workshop which has been tailored specifically for those of us working in funding. It is designed to be particularly helpful for non-Māori funders who want to question and explore the Treaty’s implications in a positive, interactive learning environment.
This collaboration between experienced and popular Treaty educator Jen Margaret and Philanthropy NZ uses a mix of presentation, group work and facilitated discussion. You will come away with an improved understanding of what the Treaty means, its relevance today and some of the practical implications for philanthropy.  Spaces are limited - register now to guarantee your place!
