The Melbourne Educational Conference and Tour
Sunday 4th September to Saturday 10th September 2016

This conference focusses on providing participants with opportunities to experience a range of educational programmes. An important aspect of the tour is that teachers get time to reflect on their own practice and engage in conversations with others to make meaning around philosophy and practice.

The focus of this tour will be of particular interest to teachers of children aged 3 to six (we don’t visit any infant toddler centres). However, teachers of all ages have found the principles under which the programmes are developed, are universal to all age groups.

Participants will enjoy presentations about the pedagogy of Reggio Emilia during visits to centres and schools to hear how curriculum has developed over time.

Conference and Tour Costs: $2250.00 (GST NIL)

Includes:
  • Airfares ex Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch,
  • Group airport transfers,
  • Travel insurance 
  • Accommodation at a centrally located apartment (share triple in an apartment). An additional supplement of $250.00 is required for a single room. 
  • Transport between conference venues, and
  • All conference expenses including 5 x lunches and 1 x dinner (for those arriving by 5.15pm on Sunday 4th September 2016).
All other expenses are at the delegates own cost.

To secure your space you must register online (right hand side of this page) and pay a deposit of $1200.00 of the total amount.

The balance of your payment must be made prior to 22nd July 2016. Please remind the person making payments of this date.

Please Note: If for some reason you can’t make the deposit or full payment, please email and let us know and we can discuss an alternative payment schedule.

  • Pay deposit ($1,000.00) (credit card, direct credit or cheque)
  • Pay final payment by 22nd July 2016 (credit card, direct credit or cheque)
  • It’s a good idea to begin a file now so that you can keep copies of all the papers you receive and copies of those that you send to me.
Online Registration

You may register one or more attendees for each event.

  • You will be asked to enter your contact details. If you are purchasing multiple tickets, you will be asked to enter the details of your colleagues.
  • Your finance status will be presented and you may choose your payment methods: credit card, cheque or EFT.
Amendment & Cancellation Policy

Amendment: All amendment requests must be made in writing. Any amendment after confirmation, may incur an additional charge. 
Cancellation: The deposit is non-refundable. If the cancellation is received after the 1 August 2016, the full amount will be refunded less the deposit and any incurred conference/tour cancellation costs (travel, accommodation, transfers etc). Written cancellation is required.
