Paul Boon graduated from Ghent University, Belgium in 1985. He also trained at the University of Texas in Houston and Bowman-Gray
Medical School in Winston-Salem, NC, USA. He was a fellow in clinical neurophysiology and epileptology in 1987 and 1988 at Yale University Medical School, New Haven, CT, USA. He was appointed Professor of Neurology in 2002 at Ghent University Hospital Belgium and is currently Chairman of the Department of Neurology. Professor Boon is the leading epileptologist of the Reference Center for Refractory Epilepsy at Ghent University Hospital. He runs a large epilepsy and sleep disorders clinic. His main research interests are clinical epilepsy, quantitative EEG analysis, source localisation and anticipation, neuromodulation and functional neuroimaging.
 

 
Dr Kelso is a Consultant Neurologist at Barts Health NHS Trust, where he is lead for the Epilepsy group, and runs the inpatient videotelemetry service.  He qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1998, and completed postgraduate training in Neurology and Epilepsy in Edinburgh and London. Dr Kelso was awarded MD (Res) in Experimental Epilepsy by the University of London in 2010.  He has an interest in the Neurology of pregnancy, and helped to set up the Obstetric Neurology service at Barts Health. Other research interests include primary care neurological care, and the provision of neurological care in hard to reach populations. 
 

Mark Lamotte is leading the Belgian IMS Health Economic and Outcomes Research team. He is a Medical Doctor, specialized in cardiology. After 6 years medical practice (invasive and non invasive cardiology), he joined Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, where he was Cardiovascular Medical Advisor (antithrombosis area) during 1.5 years. He joined HEDM, which has since been acquired by IMS, in January 2000 and has since then worked as project manager and scientific director. Since May 2007 Mark is responsible for the project management and quality assurance of the Belgium HEOR team and is leading the team since December 2008. Since March 2012 Mark is leading the global IMS HEOR Centre of Excellence on health economic modeling. Mark also leads the development of the Core Diabetes Model, the IMS on-line available most referenced model in type 1 and 2 diabetes.
Over the years Mark Lamotte has worked on more than 400 cardiovascular, pulmonary, diabetes, urology and oncology projects, including expert interviews, patient record review, modeling (more than 100), and report writing. A lot of those projects resulted in peer reviewed publications (list available on request).
Mark is fluent in Dutch, French, English and Spanish and understands German.
