Governance & Investment Workshops

Whether you're a brand new trustee of a philanthropic trust or a more experienced trustee, Philanthropy New Zealand's Governance & Investment workshops offer something for everyone.
These workshops, held annually, are an opportunity to learn from experts in the governance and investment fields and will give you a comprehensive overview of your governance and investment responsibilities. The flexible, modular format includes options specifically for board Chairs and both introductory and advanced modules in governance and investment.
Each module is a whole day workshop and you can choose to complete just one module, or add a second to make a two-day workshop. The following modules are available - click on the titles for an overview of each module.

The workshops also give you the chance to network with trustees from other philanthropic organisations around the country and to share experiences and knowledge. You can continue the conversations in the evenings with the options of a networking dinner for Chairs hosted by AMP Capital on Tuesday evening, and a networking dinner at Logan Brown on Wednesday evening.
The cost of a one-day workshop is $450 (Philanthropy New Zealand members) or $650 (non-members).

A two module, two-day workshop costs
$675 (members) or $965 (non-members). Prices exclude GST and evening meal options.
