Session 1: Procurement’s Role in the Future of Talent Management: How to Hire, Engage and Retain Sourcing Talent with an International and Inter-Generational Workforce
Hiring the right people is critical for success yet few organisations focus enough on training and retaining talent. This is especially true in supply chain, where many professionals have simply fallen into their role. Supply chain/procurement roles were once considered back-office and clerical, but have emerged from the recession as strategic and critical. Understanding generational differences and succession planning are both key, yet most organisations do not offer a clear career development pathway. In her presentation, Dawn will share insights on the changing landscape of talent acquisition and management; provide a perspective on how to retain the best talent; discuss the importance of a succession plan and offer best practice to create one.

Presenter:
Dawn Tiura, President & CEO,
Sourcing Industry Group (SIG)

Session 2: Panel Discussion - Got Risk? Tips for managing known & hidden risks in your supply chain
Risk and disruption can impact business in many ways beyond the physical safety of the road warrior. Cybercrime is on the rise and, if insufficiently protected, can cost a company its reputation and vast amounts of hard cash in compensation claims. Understanding your supply chain’s own suppliers is critical to protect your business. You need to know that the company’s you in-source will protect the personal data of your employees and customers and that they do not contravene the human slavery act. The panel will discuss potential pit-falls and share tips to help navigate this complex minefield.
