Technique: Bead Weaving

Fundamentals, skills, and techniques covered:
• Ndebele
  • Inserting
  • Color coordinating
  • Closures

A wonderful necklace or bracelet worked in Ndebele. It sports two different colored side panels by inserting contrasting large beads while building up the rectangular tube. This necklace is a great project for beginners and for people who have a difficult time working with very small beads as the bead size can be adjusted. You WILL complete this project in class.

Materials you are required to bring:
Beading mat, beading, thread, needles (size 11 for small beads, size 10 or even larger for big beads), and scissors. If not purchasing a kit: Size 12 base color, size 6 or larger in 2 colors for inserts. Chunky version: Size 6 color base, larger beads (4-8mm) in 2 colors for inserts.
