We are also delighted that Mr Harald Mueller, Deputy Head of Treasury Strategy Division of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank will be giving the first opening keynote speech of the conference on Tuesday, 21st June.

Steven Maijoor, Chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority will be delivering the keynote address on Wednesday, 22nd June at this year’s conference. In his role as chair of Europe’s principal securities markets regulator he is uniquely placed to comment upon both the regulatory landscape and the development of the capital markets across Europe. With the work of ESMA playing such a significant role in the regulation of our industry his insights and thoughts will provide a perfect backdrop to the rest of the conference.

Additionally, we will have Lord Evans of Weardale deliver the closing keynote speech of the conference. Jonathan Evans was Director General of the British Security Service MI5 from 2007 to 2013. As head of MI5 he was one the British government’s principal advisors on national security threats including terrorism, cyber security and espionage and was a member of the Prime Minister’s National Security Council. He also led MI5’s work to ensure the security of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London. In the course of a long career in MI5 Jonathan worked as both an investigator and an operational officer on a variety of national security threats, specialising in counter-terrorism. He became the Director responsible for MI5’s International Counter-Terrorism work on 1 September 2001, ten days before 9/11.
