Asma Ali Al Nuaimi MBBS, FAAP, ABP, FRC
Head of Paediatric Department
Zayed Military Hospital

Dr. Al Nuaimi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in Al Ain in 1999 and afterwards joined Zayed military hospital, in the year 2001 she pursued further training in Canada, in which she joined the pediatric residency training program in Calgary in July 2001 and graduated in 2004 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Canada and as well American board of pediatrics as a general pediatrician. Following that she completed fellowship training in pediatric pulmonary/ Respirology at Alberta children’s hospital in Calgary with special focus on intensive care. She joined back Zayed military hospital in October 2006, and has been appointed the head of pediatric department in 2011-2013. She completed an Executive Masters in Healthcare Administration in 2010 with honors, and then a master degree in biomedical ethics and law from the Royal college of Ireland in 2014; she has special interest in military medical ethics. She has been active in multiple hospital administrative committees including chairing the ethical committee for Zayed military hospital, She is a part time pulmonologist at Sheikh Khalifa hospital SKMC which is another major tertiary hospital in Abu Dhabi and have helped establish the UAE pediatric pulmonary group which has an active role in teaching and raising awareness in the city of Abu Dhabi in regards to common pediatric pulmonary problems for pediatricians and the general practitioner. Dr. Al Nuaimi participated in teaching at many levels of undergraduate, post graduate in UAE University and Arab board programs, and as well was involved in putting the guidelines for the health authority of Abu Dhabi for common respiratory problems.
 
Dennis Rosen

Dr. Dennis Rosen is a pediatric pulmonologist and sleep specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He is the author of Vital Conversations: Improving Communication between Doctors and Patients and Successful Sleep Strategies For Kids (A Harvard Medical School Guide). He contributes regularly to the New York Times, Boston Globe, and the Pacific Standard.
 
Hesham S. Tawakol M.B., B.Ch, M.D., F.
American Board Pediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist
Corniche Hospital

He is an American Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. He is currently a consultant neonatologist and the program director of the neonatal perinatal fellowship program at Corniche hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE.  Dr. Tawakol is the president of the American Broad Certified Doctors for Egypt (ABCDE), a non for profit organization that is helping in improving the clinical, academic and research areas in the Middle East. His main interest is respiratory, infection and Nutrition.  

 
Julian David Eason
Chief of Service – Neonatology

Dr Eason is UK trained with a Canadian Fellowship in Neonatology as well as gaining a Masters degree at the University of British Columbia. His interests in Neonatology are many but particularly in Nutrition, Neonatal Transport and Ventilation, having completed a Certificate in Neonatal Aviation Medicine and Transport at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He lectures on ventilation strategies and Nutrition throughout the Middle East and also back in the UK. He was the British Association of Perinatal Medicine representative for the South of England from 2010-2012 and has been involved at committee level producing the UK Department of Health Neonatal Toolkit in 2009 and the NICE Standards for Neonatal Care in 2010.
 
Krishnadas Gopalan Menon
Consultant Pediatrician and Pediatric Intensivist

Dr. Menon works at Amana Healthcare Hospital as a Consultant Pediatrician and Pediatric Intensivist. Dr. Menon graduated and finished his MD in Pediatric Medicine from Dr. Vaishampayan Memorial Medical College, Solapur, India in 1986. He did his MRCPI Pediatrics from Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2004. He also finished his Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from Medvarsity, Apollo Hospitals India. He has 28 years of experience in locations ranging from India, Oman, the UK, Australia and the UAE. His Special Interests are Pediatric and Neonatal Critical care and teaching Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
 
Maike Schumacher MD, DEAA
Division Chief of the Pediatric Critical Care Unit
Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), UAE

Dr. Maike Schumacher is currently Division Chief of the Pediatric Critical Care Unit at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC). She is chairing the CPR Committee at SKMC and functions as the Critical Care Physician Lead for Malaffi® EMR.  Prior to moving to Abu Dhabi, she worked at the Institute for Anesthesiology and Critical Care of University Hospital / Medical School Essen, Germany and thereafter as Consultant at the Department for Anesthesiology and Critical Care of Marien Hospital in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Dr. Maike is a German board certified Anesthesiologist with subspecialty board certifications in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine. She is holding the European Diploma in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. She graduated from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany. She is active in the field of education and has given multiple presentations related to Anesthesiology as well as Critical Care. 

 
Michael Kelley

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kelley has enhanced his reputation as one of the top pediatric doctors in the region at Zayed Military Hospital, where as Consultant Physician, he provided primary care to the UAE military and their families. At ProVita, Dr. Michael is responsible for delivering world-class care to residents who depend on artificial ventilation, typically because of accidents, strokes, or birth conditions. Many are children who were previously either being treated abroad, or occupying scarce intensive care unit (ICU) beds in UAE hospitals. DR.Mike brings a wealth of specialist pediatrics expertise and will bring great insight through his experience of working in top medical facilities in the United States and the UAE.” In addition to his clinical experience, Dr Michael Kelley will is responsible for the professional development of ProVita’s medical staff. He brings significant teaching experience from his time at Zayed Military Hospital, the University of Louisville School of Medicine and the Third World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education.
 
Mishal A. Al-kasimi MD, CPE, FAAP

Ambulatory Health Services (AHS) & Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) / Abu Dhabi Centre for Care and Rehabilitation at the Zayed Higher Organization, (ZHO)

Dr. Mishal A. Al-kasimi currently serves as the Chair of Pediatric Services at Ambulatory Health Services (AHS), for Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) and is also the Medical Director for the Abu Dhabi Centre for Care and Rehabilitation at the Zayed Higher Organization, (ZHO) located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.  In his role as Chair of Pediatric Services, he has led implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols, and promoted the adoption of evidence based medicine, quality and efficiency of clinical practice. 

Doctor Al-kasimi had a significant role in merging all medical staff under one umbrella at the Abu Dhabi Centre for Care and Rehabilitation, thus ensuring that care was standardized across the clinic system.  He has a strong affinity and caring for patients with special needs and has been instrumental in bringing special services to that patient population.  Throughout his professional career, Doctor A-kasimi has been deeply committed not only to best practices and quality care, but also to patient satisfaction and best experience. 

Doctor Al-Kasimi received his Undergraduate, Medical School and Post-graduate training in the U.S.A in the State of New York. He has been a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics since 2006, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2007.

In addition Doctor Al-kasimi earned a Certificate in Medical Education in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, in 2010. 

Doctor Al-kasimi is pursuing Certified Physician Executive from the American Association for Physician Leadership (formerly The American College of Physician Executives).
