2015 Work-Management Simulation Workshop for Pulp & Paper Managers

Improve Maintenance and Profits with this Unique, Simulation-Based Workshop from TAPPI

Mill operation can be transformed and become reliable and profitable, but superior tools are needed to foster an effective culture for dealing with change.  Attend this workshop and learn how to help you mill realize it's profit potential through sustainable change, and transform the reactive operation into a proactive operation.

This highly-participative, full two-day workshop will guide cross-functional, multi-disciplined management participants through "hands-on" scenarios to better understand and eventually better manage their overall Asset Reliability Maintenance functions.

What will you learn?

You’ll come away with a much clearer picture of where significant improvement opportunities may lie within your organizations - and quickly experience critical interactions from other departments’ perspective and fully understand what is meant by the phrase..."It’s not just maintenance anymore!"

Through hands-on role-reversal scenarios (cross-functional, multi-disciplined), you will learn to better understand the perspectives, viewpoints and actions of managers from other mill departments in regard to simulated mill problems, situations, and conditions. By “walking a mile in other co-workers’ shoes,” you will learn how to better understand, communicate, and work together more effectively on a day-to-day basis. This course introduces sustainable change in how key mill people understand, communicate, and perform their jobs as a fully-integrated mill team.

What you will take back to your workplace?

    1. Have a much clearer picture of where significant Asset Reliability Maintenance improvement opportunities lie within their organizations.
    2. Develop a greater understanding of just how directly involved operations, maintenance, engineering, and the supply chain really are, and implement improvements accordingly.

    4. Know how to get more proactive and less reactive in their reliability efforts.
