Defines the fundamental, career-limiting assumptions about ideal womanhood that restrict women from reaching their potential. Using a framework, cases, and reflection, participants learn to identify these assumptions to determine how they are affecting their decision making process. Participants learn how to reframe the assumptions affecting them to open up possibilities and creatively solve problems.

Participants learn to how to make their needs and wants equally important to others. They learn to step back from socialized responses towards self-sacrifice and see how advocating for themselves improves outcomes for everyone. Participants learn and practice the “I am important” model for accomplishing this while using scripting and role-plays to understand the nuance.
