About the IEEE Training Session

Experts within the IEEE 11073 Personal Health Devices Work Group (PHD WG) will be hosting a free half-day training workshop covering the IEEE 11073 standards for personal health devices, which are fundamental to Continua’s Design Guidelines. The workshop covers all of the optimized data and communication standards being created in the IEEE 11073 PHD WG. This includes the Optimized Exchange Protocol (ISO/IEEE 11073-20601), the device specializations (15 in the disease management domain, 2 in health and fitness domain, and 2 in the independent living domain), and the status of those standards as well as new device specializations under development. Since implementations already exist, time will be available for demos, answering questions about implementation barriers or places where the standards are not clear.
