Information Development World 2015

Information Development World 2015 is the only conference dedicated to helping organizations rethink the way they create, manage, and deliver content experiences. Last year, over 400 attendees from every conceivable industry sector convened in San Jose to learn from more than 100 of the world's best and brightest content strategists, content marketers, information architects, community managers, experience designers, data scientists, translators, taxonomists, usability pros, content engineers, technical writers, medical writers, editors, indexers, videographers, storytellers, and more.

Customers expect a unified and consistent experience. But, most organizations aren't set up to deliver what customers expect. Silos get in the way. They introduce confusion. They damage brand. They negatively impact loyalty. They decrease productivity. They do nothing to increase sales.

It's not enough to dazzle prospects with flashy advertising and sexy marketing collateral. You have to continue to deliver by providing amazingly useful, relevant, and accurate content after they become customers. At every touchpoint. On every platform. Every time. Period.

In organizations where content is valued as a business asset — and where customer experience is more than just lip service — the people that create customer-facing content work together. They collaborate to ensure that every interaction a customer has with the brand, across every touch point, is consistent. They break down silos between departments that prevent collaboration. Old approaches are discarded. Collaboration becomes the norm. And, they rethink the way they work. Every effort is laser-focused on efficiently producing content that delivers an exceptional customer experience.

Information Development World is the only event dedicated to helping content professionals create exceptional customer experiences with content; experiences that differentiate your brand from the competition.

Information Development World is one of the best and most well-organized events in the content industry. The conference includes over 80 presentations, case studies, and training workshops covering a wide variety of subject matter, delivered by folks in the trenches; content professionals with knowledge and experience to share.

September 30, 2015 is pre-conference workshop day. Purchase an All-Access Pass and you'll be entitled to attend one of eight full-day, hands-on training workshops. Registration is required in advance. Workshops are limited to 30 students.

The conference takes place October 1 and 2, 2015 in San Jose, CA. Each day kicks of with a light continental breakfast, an opening keynote, and two featured presenters. Break-out sessions make up the remainder of the day, with lunch, a mid-afternoon snack, and networking and entertainment activities included in the mix. In addition, this year's event also includes special focus events -- the DITA Summit (all about DITA, all the time), the Software Localization Summit (covering issues related to translating and localizing software products), and the Medical Devices Summit (tackling issues of importance to creating content in medical device companies).
